This meeting brings together technicians from the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal and Fisheries Resources, the one in charge of the environment, and the ministry in charge of health. It will make it possible to identify awareness raising and harmonized communication tools to better arm ourselves against pathology.

Specifically, this will involve, among other things, developing key messages by category of actor, standard operating procedures for notification, and establishing case definitions for the actors of the disease surveillance system.

According to the Director General of Veterinary Services, Rassablga Dominique Sawadogo, anthrax affects both animals and humans. Also, it negatively affects the economy in the livestock sector and constitutes a public health problem.

Anthrax is a deadly disease for animals and humans. This workshop is being held with the financial support of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) through the financial support agreement for the fight against anthrax.
