The government has sanctioned an additional Rs 30 lakh for Governor Arif Muhammad Khan’s air travel. This is in a situation where the amount earmarked for this financial year has been fully spent. The Principal Secretary to the Governor had written to the Government requesting to sanction the amount spent on the December trip. The Governor bought the ticket for the flight through ODEPEC. This was at a time when the government was at loggerheads with the governor. On January 9, the Public Administration Department forwarded the letter to the Finance Department. The Finance Department, which did not take a decision on the letter then, issued an order on Tuesday granting an additional Rs.30 lakh. .
