The employees of the municipality of Ashdod, who have been on alert level 3 since the beginning of the winter system, are patrolling the city and are ready to respond to any call and unusual situation
The meteorological service issues a yellow warning, following a serious fear of flooding along the coastal plain. According to the meteorological service, an amount of 50-75 mm of rain is expected, which may fall in the form of cloud fragments and cause heavy flooding.
In the winter headquarters of the municipality of Ashdod, there are alert level 3 in the city from the beginning of the system. The standby teams of the winter headquarters, move between the receptors, clean items that were washed away by the rains that fell and also many leaves that fell as a result of the wind and create a brown spring in a way that prevents the flow of water to the receptors.
During the night, the teams will patrol around the city and around 05:00 in the morning, when the rains are expected to worsen, the teams will be increased according to the amount of precipitation that is expected to fall along with the wind gusts.
According to the estimates, heavy precipitation is expected mainly during the hours of departure for school and work, therefore one should drive carefully on the road and consider the pedestrians.
