Today, Sunday, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, officially announced the launch of the Step Initiative.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports said in a statement received by the (INA), that “Al-Mubarqa’ confirmed during his speech at the launching ceremony of the Step Initiative, which is being held in partnership between the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, and the United Nations Organization for West Asia, the Economic and Social Committee, that the initiative comes as a continuation of “There are previous initiatives that accommodate thousands of ambitious young people who aspire to the labor market, fortified with education, knowledge and integrated training, so that the young man is fully prepared to exercise his leadership role at work.”
She added, “The initiative was held in the hall of the National Center for Sports Talent at the headquarters of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and was attended by the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Alaa Al-Sukaini, and the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Youth, Qasim Al-Zalimi, as well as a number of officials, activists, and senior staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.”
She pointed out that “the Minister reviewed a number of large projects implemented by the Ministry of Youth to serve this large, vital sector,” praising “the responsible role of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the United Nations Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and all the staff that worked to accommodate five thousand young people in this promising program.” The training will last for three months, calling on all our creative youth to take their part and apply for this project.”
According to the statement, representative of the West Asia Committee for the United Nations, Mona Fattah, praised “the great role of Al-Mubarqa and the Ministry’s staff in supporting the youth sector and implementing programs supporting the youth sector.”
Alaa Al-Sakini, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor, expressed his “thanks and appreciation to the Minister and the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the spirit of cooperation that serves our youth and addresses their social and economic problems,” noting that “the ceremony included the screening of a documentary film about the Step Initiative, as well as the successful experiences of a number of young people in the labor market, and the curriculum was concluded.” In a plastic art exhibition organized by the Department of Youth Culture and Arts.
