In 2021, the main source of anxiety for Russians was the coronavirus pandemic and everything related to it: from the emergence of new strains to uncertainty with vacation, the authors of the study state. This follows from the “National Anxiety Index” prepared by the CROS agency. Also, citizens were worried about the increase in the number of violent crimes and fear of inflation.

The most disturbing citizens, according to CROS, in 2021 lived in Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Vologda region. Residents of the Perm Territory, Arkhangelsk, Novgorod and Tyumen Regions, Crimea and Krasnodar Territory are next in the ranking.
