The National Investment Commission discusses the energy efficiency project for buildings in Iraq

Today, Wednesday, the National Investment Authority discussed the scientific foundations of the energy efficiency project in buildings in general.

The National Investment Commission stated in a statement received by the (INA): “The National Investment Commission hosted the fifth meeting of the technical team concerned with the energy efficiency project, with the participation of representatives of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Iraq, and the Advisory Board for Renewable Energy Affairs was represented by Mona Sabah. Al-Jabri.”
The authority added, “The meeting discussed the scientific foundations of the energy efficiency project in buildings in Iraq in general, which began in the year 2023, and will continue for another five years, funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Iraqi public and private sectors are participating in its implementation.”
She continued, “The attendees discussed the possibility of developing instructions for improving energy efficiency in buildings, enhancing the capabilities of workers in the fields concerned with energy efficiency, exchanging experience and involving the Iraqi private sector, in a way that contributes to promoting the optimal use of energy and reducing waste.”
