The women’s national team heads to Saudi Arabia to participate in the West Asian Federation Championship

Today, Sunday dawn, the delegation of our national women’s team left for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to participate in the eighth edition of the West Asian Federation Championship for the women’s category, which is hosted by the city of Jeddah.

A statement from the Football Association, received by the (INA), stated, “This is the first participation of our women’s national team in the West Asian Federation Championship, as the Iraqi Football Association has prepared two training camps in both the French capital, Paris, and the Emirati city of Dubai, before entering the championship competitions.” Our team will open its first match against its Palestinian counterpart on the 20th of this month in the second group, which also includes the Syrian and Nepalese teams.”
He added, “The delegation is headed by a member of the Federation’s executive office, the supervisor of the Women’s Committee, Rasha Talib, the head of the committee, Nibras Kamel, and Ali Abbas, the team’s manager.”
The coaching staff of our team, led by coach Saleh Radhi and his assistants, chose 23 players to represent our team. They are: Faiza Jalal Mahmoud, Zahraa Ali Hussein, Sah Lar Abdul Wahed Khaled for goalkeeping, and Nadia Fadel Abdel Amir, Beha Dara Muhammad, Israa Adnan Hashem, Suz Kazem.
