It is a strong group of eight (08) members, all of foreign nationality, which was dismantled by the Regional Judicial Police Service (SRPJ) of Hauts-Bassins in the city of Bobo-Dioulasso. Indeed, this group of individuals, whose members posed as commercial agents of a business called “Qnet”, specialized in human trafficking.

The modus operandi of these alleged thugs consisted, once in Burkina Faso, of luring their relatives back home by making them believe in the existence of a very lucrative business in Burkina that pays in US Dollars. And to do this, everyone who was interested had to pay a sum of between 430,000 and 663,000 FCFA to have a place in the company.

The sums were paid directly into the account of the alleged company via the phones of the alleged criminals using applications whose purpose was to confuse tracing. It is happening in Burkina that the victims will realize the deception and will be forced to put up with it. Worse, they will in turn have to use all possible fraudulent and deceptive maneuvers to bring in other relatives.

Thanks to the collaboration of the population, the group was dismantled and several items seized, including laptops of various brands, foreign passports and various other documents.

The National Police once again thanks the populations for their collaboration which made it possible to achieve this result. She also urges them to always exercise great vigilance and to continue to report suspicious cases to the toll-free numbers made available to them: 17, 16 and 1010.

The National Police, a public force at the service of citizens!
