In celebration of 100 years of Disney, another preview of the live-action of The little Mermaid (The Little Mermaid). Halle Bailey puts her face and voice on the princess of the sea in this film directed by Rob Marshall based on the 1989 animated classic. In addition to Bailey, the cast includes Javier Bardem as King Triton, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Art Malik as Sir Grimsby, and Noma Dumezweni as Queen Selina. As for the cast of voices of the animated characters are Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, Jacob Tremblay as Flounder and Awkwafina as Scuttle.
The little Mermaid is directed by Oscar nominee Rob Marshall (The return of Mary Poppins) and written by David Magee (The life of Pi), also nominated for the statuette on two occasions. The adaptation of the story in the live action format was developed by both together with the Emmy winner John DeLuca and took reference from both the original story by Hans Christian Andersen and the remembered animated film by Ron Clements and Juan Musker.
