The upcoming iPad Pro could be equipped with an M4 chip, skipping the M3 generation.
As Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru, this was reported by 9to5Mac, citing well-known insider and Bloomberg correspondent Mark Gurman.
According to Gurman, in advertising the new iPad Pro, Apple will focus consumers’ attention on the tablet’s AI-based features. In this context, the tablet will be extremely productive due to the new Neural Engine in the M4 chip.
“The inclusion of the M4 is certainly a key change and will be accompanied by other expected new options, such as an OLED display and a redesigned front camera placement,” writes 9to5Mac.
It’s unclear what AI features will be ready by spring, as much of Apple’s AI software will launch with iOS 18 at WWDC in June.
In addition to the presentation of the new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro, a new iPad Air line is also expected to appear, this time with a larger screen. The Apple show, where these new products will be presented, will begin on May 7 at 18:00 Baku time.
The update to the remaining iPad series, according to Gurman, will happen in the fall of 2024. Around the same time, Apple will also introduce new Mac computers with the M4.
