We all know that where the most mobile phones are sold is in the mid-range, where the fight of the titans takes place, that is where brands have to really make a difference. We analyze the Honor for two weeksMagic6 Litethe new terminal from the Chinese firm that aspires to compete in this segment and that not only promises, but also aims to deliver with features that defy the expectations of its price range.
The first thing that catches your attention about the smartphone is its 6.78-inch curved OLED screen, which occupies practically the entire front, 91%, the highest ratio on the market. Also the design of the set of cameras housed in the back in a circle.
The Honor Magic6 Lite, which has a price that starts from 399 euros, comes in three colors, orange, green and black. We have tried the second. Its appearance is much more premium than its price would suggest, thanks to the fact that it is thin and light, but, above all, thanks to that huge ring that frames the lenses, an aesthetic detail that we do not usually see in mid-range phones.
The screen is probably the highlight of the terminal, with 1.5K resolution, a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 120Hz refresh rate and, most importantly, PWM dimming at 1920Hz, another inappropriate feature of this spectrum. HONOR has incorporated its own technology, called Ultra-Bounce, which gives it extra durability against falls, which we have not been able to test.
What has happened to us is that, in almost two weeks of carrying it in our pocket, the glass circle that covers the cameras has a few scratches, luckily, at the height of the flash.
Cameras
Photography is an essential component of any mobile phone and the Honor Magic6 Lite with its triple camera, led by a 108 megapixel main sensor, captures images with good clarity and detail. All thanks to AI, the camera’s ability to handle and adjust to different scenarios is impressive.

The main sensor is the one we will use the most, and the truth is that its result is very good, one of the best we have seen in this range of phones. It works correctly both at night and during the day, and dark environments are the only place where we can see differences with a high-end camera.

In reality, the 108 megapixels are not what we will use in our daily lives, since they must be activated in the high resolution function, and the shot will be slow, that is, impractical. But the most interesting thing about this lens is that we have a 3x optical zoom, something that is never seen in this range.
The other two lenses are more testimonial, although functional, compared to the quality of the main sensor. Specifically, a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens and a two-megapixel macro lens, which is always used as a filler as a third lens. The front camera is a 16 megapixel wide angle that gives a good result.
Good battery
In terms of performance, Honor has decided to bet on a veteran processor from 2023 that has performed well in the mid-range, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. It offers a fluid experience, whether browsing social networks or running demanding applications, improving by a 35% on the GPU and 40% on the CPU than its predecessor. To classify the Magic6 Lite in terms of power, we can place it between the POCO X5 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy A54. There are two RAM memory options, 8 and 12 gigabytes, and 256 gigabytes of disk. Of course, we have 5G, Wifi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC and a fingerprint reader under the screen.
The battery life also stands out. With a capacity of 5300mAh, it guarantees autonomy that far exceeds a day and a half of use. Fast charging is 35W, although it comes without a charger. Of course, without wireless charging, something that Honor only installs in its high-end.
In short, the Honor Magic6 Lite has surprised us, and for the 399 euros it costs, which also includes the headphones Honor Earbuds X5, it’s almost a bargain. No mobile at that price gives you an OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and a 108 megapixel camera with x3 optical zoom.
