Name of mortgages about houses in the regions of Girona during the month of March it fell by 9.76% compared to March 2022, up to 712, according to provisional data from the Mortgage Statistics of the National Institute of Statistics (INE). If compared to February, the number of mortgages climbed slightly, by 1.85%.
In the regions of Girona the loaned capital was 104.6 million euros during March, 14.2% less than a year ago. In this way, the average amount per mortgage was 146,938.2 euros.
For demarcations, the constitution of mortgages in the Catalan provinces registered negative variations in all of them. In Barcelona, 4,740 were signed, 15.8% less compared to the same month last year. The loaned capital was 832.7 million euros, 16.1% less. The average amount per mortgage was 175,677.2 euros.
On the other hand, in the demarcation of Lleida, the constitution of mortgages fell by 9.43%up to 298. The borrowed capital rose to 32.02 million euros, 6.34% less, and placed the average amount of each mortgage at 107,466.4 euros.
Finally, in the regions of Tarragona the number of mortgages established was 717, a 16.92% annual decrease. The loaned capital was 81.05 million, 15.36% less compared to the same month in 2022, while the average amount of each mortgage was 113,051.6 euros.
In Catalonia, the number of mortgages on homes fell by 14.6% in March compared to the same month last year, up to 6,467. If compared with February, the intermonthly variation was -0.2%. The loaned capital was 1,050.4 million, 15.6% less than a year ago and 0.6% less than in February. In this way, the average amount per loan was 162,426 euros.
In the State as a whole, the fall in the number of mortgages on homes was a little more intense, of 15.7%, to 36,182, while the loaned capital was 5,161.8 million, a 17 % less than in March 2022. By communities, Catalonia was the second with the most mortgages on homes established, only surpassed by Andalusia, with 7,280; and followed by the Community of Madrid, with 5,515.
