According to the results of counting 90% of ballots, three pro-government parties are in the lead: Ata-Zhurt Kyrgyzstan (16.85%), Ishenim (13.5%) and Yntymak (10.81%). Among the opposition parties that previously managed to cross the 5% barrier are Alliance, Butun Kyrgyzstan and Yiman Nuru. According to the updated data, Ata-Meken won about 3% of the votes.

For the first time, elections in Kyrgyzstan are held according to a mixed, party-majority system. Polling stations closed at 20:00 local time (17:00 Moscow time). Two days before the elections, the Kyrgyz authorities announced the prevention of a coup attempt. Deputy Bakytbek Zhetigenov was detained today in connection with the seizure of power.
