The ONMT seals a historic partnership with TUI GROUP

Adel El Fakir, Director General of the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) signed a record agreement on Tuesday 7 with Sebastian EBEL, Chairman and CEO of TUI Group, the world’s leading tourism operator.

This agreement covers the next 5 years from the summer 2023 season to the winter 2027-2028, i.e. 10 seasons and will allow, over this period, to double tourist arrivals to Morocco with a growth rate of around 220 %. It should be noted that today TUI registers approximately some 210,000 annual customers in Morocco. Thanks to this partnership, the volume will approach half a million customers.

For Adel El Fakir, “this is an important moment for the ONMT and for Moroccan tourism. TUI is unquestionably a leading operator whose impact, in terms of volume, is significant for the sector.

This agreement will therefore allow a rise in power of their programming in Morocco and also augurs similar commitments from many other travel prescribers”.

In detail, market by market, this partnership will make it possible to double tourist arrivals departing from France, triple tourist arrivals departing from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, triple tourist arrivals departing from the UK market, triple tourist arrivals departing from Belgium and quadrupling tourist arrivals departing from the Dutch market.

The ONMT thus pursues its relentless efforts and deploys its strategy of conquering the main strategic issuing markets for Morocco.

Remember that TUI GROUP is the world leader in tourism, which brings together a wide variety of activities: tour operators with strong brands, 1,600 travel agencies and online portals, nearly 400 hotels, incoming agencies all over the world. , six airlines with about 150 aircraft and 18 ships.
