An initiative committee, which includes the names of the former mayor Slavcho Atanasov, the artists Valchan Petrov and Vasil Stoev, the former MP from the SDS Yuliy Slavov and other well-known Plovdiv residents, proposes the sculptor Tsviatko Siromashki as an honorary citizen. The occasion is the upcoming 70th birthday of the creator.

The letter with the idea of ​​awarding the honorary award has been submitted to the Municipal Council, which must vote on it. “The resident of Plovdiv, Tsviatko Siromashki, is one of Bulgaria’s brightest contemporary sculptors. His work affirms timeless ancestral and universal human values,” the initiative committee motivates. The significant works of Tsviatko Siromashki are also listed – the statue of Jesus Christ in the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Rakovsky, the monument of Lucien Shavalas in the Tsar-Simeon garden, of Joseph Schnitter in the 22 September square, the “Mask” of the great bass Boris Hristov in front of the house of the same name
culture in the city of Plovdiv, the Spiritual Gate in Sofia and
“Tenderness for two” in the sea garden of Burgas.

Tsviatko Syromashki’s birthday is on May 20.
