In “The Planet Crafter”, players will play the role of a space explorer (who will later become a team) who is about to go to a deserted planet, with the goal of transforming it into a livable planet suitable for human habitation. While the player’s first priority is to establish minimal shelter and life support systems to survive, the ultimate goal is to alter the atmosphere so that it has the oxygen, pressure, and heat necessary to maintain a sustainable biosphere and then introduce life.
In addition to the official version and cooperative mode updates, “The Planet Crafter” will also welcome mammals in 2024. The content trailer for the latest update will involve a new portal generator, which will take players to procedurally generated planetary wilderness and ship wreckage to explore and search for loot.
