Aluva: 4 people have been arrested in the case of a masked attack on Turkish manti restaurant in Pulinchod and attempted to kill the owner. Siyad (37) of eight head Muringasheri, Shahul (35) Kurupra Kalapurakkal of Thrikakkakara Vadakod, Sunir (23) of Nochima NAD Chala, and Sanup (32) of Thrikakkakara Njalakam Thindikal were arrested from a flat near Ulianur bridge.
A case has also been registered against Muhammed Altaf (36) of Kallitampura, Kadungallur and Ruchi (41) of Great Water Apartments near Aluva Market for helping the accused to stay in hiding. Ruchi is the wife of accused Ziyad. The police said that Ziyad is accused in 10 other cases.
After the restaurant owner demanded the price of the food purchased for the parcel, the group argued with him and left the place without paying, and later returned and attacked. DySP P.K. Peeked and entered
A person peeped through the ventilator of the flat’s bathroom to see if the police team had gone back, which helped the police to arrest the suspects in the restaurant attack case within 24 hours. The mobile tower location of the accused was finally found near the flat where they were hiding. Later the mobile phones were switched off. The police entered the flat but did not get any indication that the accused were there.
When the investigation team started to return, it was noticed that a man opened the ventilator and was watching the police. The police entered the flat again and picked up all the 4 people with their hands. The accused who resisted arrest were subdued by force. Suspecting that there might be a counter-attack, the investigating officers entered after a large police team surrounded the flat.
