The summit aims to promote the port of Las Palmas and its services for a variety of maritime traffic, including cruise ships, fishing vessels, oil platforms and cargo ships in general.
The event will feature the participation of local, national and international ship suppliers, public entities, non-governmental organizations and prominent actors in the maritime port sector, such as operators, shipping companies and shipowners. More than one hundred members from different sectors and speakers from various parts of the world, such as the United Kingdom, Spain, Scandinavia and West Africa, among others, are expected to attend.
One of the key topics that will be addressed at this summit is provisioning, which represents the largest export item in the Canary Islands according to ICEX Spain Exportation and Investment. This sector is looking for ways to revitalize itself and events like Impa Las Palmas play an important role in that process. Furthermore, this summit will complement Maritime Week Las Palmas 22, which was held last year in Las Palmas and focused on bunkering.
On the other hand, the Port Authority of Las Palmas has taken an important step by opening a bidding procedure to carry out technical assistance work in the preparation of its 2035 strategic plan.
