The Prime Minister, Dr Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélèm de Tambèla, was elevated to the dignity of Grand Officer of the Order of the Stallion, this Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at the Grand Chancellery, in Ouagadougou. It was in the presence of members of his government team and his collaborators mobilized to reaffirm their support.

“Excellency Mr. Kyèlèm de Tambèla Apollinaire Joachimson, in the name of the President of Faso and by virtue of the powers conferred on me, we raise you to the dignity of Grand Officer of the Order of the Stallion”. This consecrated formula, pronounced by the Grand Chancellor of the Orders of Burkina Faso, André Roch Compaoré, comes to crown the recognition of the Nation to the Prime Minister. This decoration made in national solemnity, brings him into the restricted circle of dignitaries of the Nation and is awarded to him on an exceptional basis, six months after his appointment as Prime Minister of Burkina Faso.
After receiving this distinction with great humility, the Head of Government said that it was “unexpected” on his part because he was never decorated, because he always preferred to stay away from ” political intrigues. He expressed his gratitude to the President of the Transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, for this “act of confidence”, to the whole of the Government and to all of his collaborators.
“This is the result of the efforts of the entire Government and the selfless work of all my staff. We must, together, work to earn more of the trust that is placed in us so that we can lead our country much further, so that we can undertake the reforms necessary for this country to fully enjoy its political sovereignty, economic, cultural and that it be respected everywhere and everywhere,” he said. It should be noted that Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélèm de Tambèla did part of his studies in France, more precisely in Nice. After his university course, he opted for the profession of lawyer, at the same time as he taught law courses in several universities. Writer and statesman from Burkina Faso, he quickly stood out at the head of a think tank, called the Center for International and Strategic Research (CRIS).
Testimonies collected from his close collaborators, it appears that the Prime Minister is a model of a man of principle, respectful of certain values such as integrity, total commitment to sacrifice, probity, etc. It is in view of these qualities linked to his person that the President of the Transition has pleased to call him at the head of the Burkinabè Government since October 2022.
