Freedom Medal 2024 awarded by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. This award is given to 10 distinguished individuals in recognition of their glorious and meritorious contribution to the country.
He handed over the award to the highest civilian medal winners or their family members at Osmani Smriti Auditorium in the capital on Monday (March 25).
Freedom fighter Kazi Abdus Sattar’s hero symbol for contribution to freedom and liberation war, freedom fighter flight sergeant Md. Fazlul Haque (posthumous) and freedom fighter Shaheed Abu Naeem. Najib Uddin Khan (Khurram) (posthumously) received the Freedom Medal.
Dr. for contribution to science and technology. Mubarak Ahmad Khan and Dr. for contributing to treatment. Awarded Harishankar Das Padak. Mohammad Rafiquzzaman and Feroza Khatun were given this award for their contribution to culture and sports. Aranya Chiran, Muktijodha professor in social service category. Mullah Obaidul Baki and SM Abraham Lincoln were awarded the Freedom Medal.
Rafikuzzaman expressed his feelings on behalf of the awardees at the award ceremony.

Since 1977, Bangladesh has been awarding this honor medal to individuals and institutions every year on the occasion of Independence Day on March 26.
