An amnesty has been granted to 22,000 people who protested against the government in Iran.
In September last year, protests erupted across the country over the death of a woman named Masha Amini.
As a result, thousands of people were arrested and detained.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued by the head of the country’s judiciary, Iran’s religious leader Khomeini has mentioned that he has ordered an amnesty for more than 22 thousand people as Ramadan fasting begins next week.
