What you should know:The Bloc Républicain party led by Abdoulaye Bio Tchané has announced the holding of an extraordinary congress in the very next few days. Scheduled to take place on September 9, 2023, this conclave will be a moment for the executives and other officials of this party of the presidential movement to discuss major concerns, especially in this context marked by the preparations for the holding of the general elections of 2026. So to succeed in this bet, the president of the party Abdoulaye Bio Tchané had a preparatory committee of 37 members set up, taking into account the different aspects of the organization; from communication to catering through the mobilization of activists, reception and accreditation of activists.
What will be done during this congress: During this conclave, several topics will be discussed including the confirmation of the decisions taken at the meeting of June 3rd. Indeed, the party during this meeting made changes to the configuration of the governing bodies. The direction was extended to the creation of a permanent secretariat and the transformation of the title of National Secretary General into President. From now on, the political bureau of the Bloc Républicain party will include all the deputies, all the mayors, all the ministers, as well as the coordinators of the Republican Women’s Organ (Ofr) and the Youth Organ of the Republican Bloc (Ojbr). The objective is to have 102 members in the political bureau. During the same meeting, it was also decided that the executive office will be composed of thirty-three (33) members, instead of sixteen (16) previously. The members will be elected by the political office and will represent each electoral district. At the same time, a permanent Secretariat composed of seven (07) people, appointed by the national executive office and submitted to the vote of the congress, will be created. Their role will be to accompany the president of the party in the exercise of his functions.
