The second day of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup competition is taking place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Trend reported on Friday.

Today, representatives of men’s artistic gymnastics will perform exercises on the pommel horse, horizontal bar, and will also present vault, while representatives of women’s artistic gymnastics will perform floor exercises and exercises on the balance beam.

Azerbaijan on the second day of the competition in men’s artistic gymnastics is represented by Ivan Tikhonov (pommel horse, vault, horizontal bar), Rasul Ahmedzade (gymnastic pommel horse), Mansum Safarov (bar), in the competition in women’s artistic gymnastics – Nazanin Teymurova (beam and floor exercise) .

It should be noted that the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup is taking place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku (March 7-10). About 300 athletes from 67 countries take part in the competition.

The World Cup in Baku serves as a qualifier for the 2024 Olympic Games. Based on the results of the competition, ten sets of awards will be awarded. Also at the competition, the gymnasts who receive the highest score for their performance will be awarded the AGF Trophy.
