Figueres City Council has designed the security device for the Acústica festival, which starts its 20th edition this Thursday. Will have 72 agents every night: 30 from the Urban Guard, 30 from the Mossos d’Esquadra and 12 Civil Protection volunteers. In addition, there will be 86 private security personnel who will be in charge of security and access control. To all this deployment we must add 21 smart cameras that will control the capacity of the Rambla for the first time. This year it will be possible to calculate exactly how many people there are inside the enclosure of concerts and it has been calculated that the maximum capacity allowed is 10,640 people.
The security plan designed for the days of the festival provides for installation two walkways on the sides of the upper part of the Rambla and thus expand the evacuation capacity of the site. The drainage of these two footbridges on the ring roads will be areas where the public cannot be there and will be delimited by fences.
when the 21 smart cameras that will be installed at the entrances to La Rambla indicate that the maximum capacity has been reached, the private security guards and access controllers will prevent more people from entering the premises. Residents and guests of the hotels will be able to do so from the checkpoints on Carrer de Lasauca and Carrer de Girona. In addition, the festival has designed an area for people with functional diversity in each concert area.
