The slalom race in Bansko canceled due to bad weather – Norwegians had their chance of victory spoiled – Dagsavisen

by time news

Timon Haugan and Henrik Kristoffersen were second and third after about 30 runners had been out on the route. However, the weather made it very challenging for many, and eventually the jury decided to cancel the race.

Haugan was the first man out of the line in Sunday’s race. There he set a time that only Frenchman Clément Noël could match, Haugan was second, 27 hundredths behind the Frenchman when the jury decided to stop the race.

It was stormy weather in Bulgaria on Sunday with wet snow. This led to the conditions deteriorating somewhat during the first half.

– It was a big, big advantage to start first. I didn’t feel I had a great run and I was a bit on the safe side, said Haugan to Viaplay.

Henrik Kristoffersen also delivered a good race in the 1st half and was only eleven hundredths behind Haugan.
