Turin Luciano Fresia stops in front of the small turquoise car and pulls out his smartphone. The Yoyo, as the Italian two-seater is called, can be operated entirely via app: opening, closing, windows, air conditioning. “The battery details can also be read out via cell phone,” says Fresia, who works at XEV – a car manufacturer that is only six years old and wants to break into the European market.
