Much has been said about ‘Game of Thrones’. And when I use the word many, I mean hours upon hours of interpretations, theories, bets, spoilers, and quite a few disconnections following them. A classic for retiring on a high for all involved in the craft after this great success, which seems to have included all the right cards in the deck. In practice, this is not what happened, and this week the Netflix world aired ‘3 Body Problem’, the new series from the creators of the cosmic dragon world that we have come to love.

Befitting the level of ‘Game of Thrones’, here too it is clear from the first moment that this is a high-budget series with a multi-layered plot. Here, of course, there will not be brutal battles of noble houses and kingdoms, but rather a discovery by a number of scientists that heralds an existential threat, through a number of strange phenomena of contradicting scientific laws. In a little clearer words, the series, based on a very popular book in China bearing the same name, moves somewhere in the area of the communist revolution and reveals quite a few dark secrets about the way China conducted itself militarily.
Seemingly, very interesting to watch. There is nothing to say. The ‘three-body problem’ brings with it a great deal of future, unlike its predecessor which gave off an intoxicating smell of the past. Each of the characters manages to bring a round picture on the one hand but not oppressive on the other, the questions discussed in each of the episodes are interesting regardless of viewing, and I found myself really not knowing where the plot would take me.
Where’s the sting, which could be problematic if you loved Game of Thrones to the point of considering dying your hair platinum blonde and raising a dragon on your balcony? That many things that did distinguish the throne, such as the violence and the frames that we could not see in the presence of our children or nephews, which little by little affected what happens during the episodes, are not so present here. By the way, it makes perfect sense not to, these are not the only tools to generate interest, but the expectation from the creators of ‘Game of Thrones’ is to leave the author’s signature. Take that into account before you get pumped. Pleasant viewing.
