The Pan-African Youth Union (UJP), according to its Vice-President, Barthélémy Zaongo, said to be pro-Putin, is a pan-African movement which advocates endogenous development based on traditional African values.
“It is a group of more than a hundred pan-African movements which focuses on the promotion of social cohesion and peace in Burkina, the promotion of the intellectual sovereignty of Burkina and Africa, the formation of a network of young leaders and ideologues, the change of the educational system and the promotion of entrepreneurship”he also said.
The UJP also says to bring “his unwavering support for the government of the current transition”and, given the security situation in the country, it proposes “to avoid unnecessary and inappropriate prosecutions and to frame and reframe certain pan-African activists”.
For the UJP, the return to traditional institutions is necessary for intellectual sovereignty and for the safeguard of Burkina and Africa. “We need a return to traditional institutions for intellectual sovereignty to save Burkina and Africa”, reaffirmed Barthélémy Zaongo after criticizing an education system that manufactured “unemployed graduates… unable to think for themselves”.
The UJP, awarding certificates of recognition to associations and groups of associations, recognized their commitment to the development of Burkina.
