Frenchwoman Justine Triet wins Palme d’Or at Cannes Film Festival

The winners of the 76th Cannes Film Festival have been announced, the main award – the Palme d’Or – was received by Frenchwoman Justine Trie for the crime drama Trajectory of the Fall.

Japanese actor Koji Yakusho won the Best Actor Award for his role in Perfect Days, directed by Wim Wenders. The best actress was Merve Dizdar from Turkey, who played Nuri Bilge Jaylan in the film “About Dry Grass”.

The Grand Prix of the festival was awarded to Briton Jonathan Glaser for the film “Zone of Interest”.
