The head of the World Anti-Doping Agency, Witold Banka, admitted that “the West is preparing a large-scale conspiracy against the World Friendship Games, scheduled to be held in Russia next summer.”

According to Russia Today, Banka said: “The World Anti-Doping Agency will do its utmost to prevent athletes from all over the world from entering Russia,” calling on “Africa to “lead the opposition” and persuade countries not to travel to Russia to participate in the competition,” adding: Participation in friendship games is a political matter.

Banka pointed out that “sport is well developed in Russia, and the World Anti-Doping Agency is not confident that it will be able to stop the Russians.”

Earlier this March, the International Olympic Committee urged “all participants in the Olympic Movement and all governments to refuse to participate or support any initiatives aimed at the complete politicization of international sports.”

The International Olympic Committee said a maximum of 55 Russians would be able to qualify for the Olympics, but the committee banned Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in the opening ceremony of the competition.

It is noteworthy that 12 Russian athletes and seven Belarusian athletes have qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The “World Friendship Games” will be held next September in the cities of Moscow and Yekaterinburg, and the tournament will include competitions in 33 Olympic and non-Summer Olympic sports.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is the independent international body responsible for coordinating anti-doping policies in all sports and all countries.
