The Shooting World Cup, held in Baku, has ended.

Shooters from England and China met in the fight for the title of winner of the women’s competition. Great Britain’s Shona McIntosh won the gold medal with precision in her final shots. Anna Janssen (Germany) took third place.
McIntosh, who won the World Championships in Baku for the second year in a row, said she believed in herself from the very beginning:
“Two days ago, I finished fourth in the final. At that time, my shots were not as accurate as I wanted. Although I won the title today, the truth is that my performance is still not quite what I want. I believe that I can achieve more. My opponent in the final was a Chinese woman. It’s very difficult to defeat them, they have an iron will. Especially when the difference between the points is small, it becomes a little more difficult, believing in my strength.”
She also revealed the secret that her hair is blue:
“This is my magic wand. My hair has been like this for 6-7 years. Sometimes I want to get rid of the blue color, but a voice inside me tells me not to change. Because this hairstyle brings me success.”
Yukun Liu, who had a clear advantage, won the men’s final competition in the same category. The Chinese athlete won the gold medal with a score of 468.9 points, breaking the record (467.3) set at this world championship on May 9.
