Some MEPs have not yet put an end to the parliamentary reserve… More than 120 of them have just signed a text asking for the restoration of this system which allowed each MEP to have around 130,000 euros to subsidize associations or municipalities in his constituency. In 2017, the newly elected Macronist majority voted to abolish the reserve, deemed opaque and promoting clientelism.
