Through social networks, a request for urgent help was circulated for a Cuban child residing in the province of Matanzas, who has a liver disease and, consequently, needs several medications that are difficult to obtain on the island.

A publication made on Facebook by activist Diasniurka Salcedo identified the minor as Neroy García Roldán, who suffers from Alagille syndrome.

“The boy’s name is Neroy García Roldán, he has a disease called Alagille syndrome, this consists of the inability of the liver to drain bile into the intestine with the consequent accumulation of this in the body, inflammation of the liver tissue and problems with poor intestinal absorption that generates the absence of vile in digestion”Salcedo explained.

To treat his illness and save his life, this Cuban boy urgently requires medications such as rifampicin, ursodeoxycholic acid and ursodiol.

Likewise, it emerged that he is currently admitted to intermediate therapy at the Matanzas pediatric hospital, specifically in bed number 21.

If anyone in the community believes they can help in any way, they can call little Neroy’s mother at 59 24 83 59.

Salcedo’s publication was accompanied by images where the minor appears, evidencing the illness that afflicts him every day of his life.
