Finally, Team Rentería USA indicated that, as an organizing body, it will work hand in hand with other affiliated leagues to carry out the Series in another country, while adding that its mission is to promote and market events that contribute to the growth of the baseball.
The news was received with displeasure by the FEPCUBE, which recognized as the primary reason for the cancellation to avoid their presence at said event. Likewise, he denounced that the decision was made based on pressure from the governments of Cuba and Colombia, and constitutes “an offense and mockery of democracy and freedom.”
