In order to promote environmental awareness from childhood, the Government, through the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, presented the children’s story Environmental Friends, for early childhood, childhood and adolescence.
“It is about raising awareness, it is a story that talks a lot about how to take care of nature, animals, not throwing garbage (…) We are very happy because there was a very nice activity, the children enjoyed it, they colored, they saw the story (with puppets) and an exercise was done on how to separate the waste,” said MARN Minister Fernando López.
With the introduction of this story we seek to empower boys and girls to become active defenders of the environment.
“It is part of our Environmental Education program and we are going to continue with more initiatives and more campaigns, so that children, and especially early childhood, can learn how to take care of nature,” López explained.
