They steal documents from the ‘Cas Soule’ at the headquarters of the Catalan Football Federation

The Catalan Football Federation (FCF) announced this Thursday that last night of December 31, thieves entered the headquarters of the federation and took a safe and documentation of the ‘Soule case’still open after the research phase.

“Once the searches by the Mossos d’Esquadra and the Scientific Police have been completed, the Federation wants to make public that last night on December 31 it suffered a robbery. Through a robber, a group of criminals, who they knew the facilities perfectlythey accessed the Central Headquarters of the FCF on Carrer Sicília,” announced the FCF.

The federation explains that this “wreck” prevented the 2nd and 3rd of January from taking place face-to-face service in its headquarters, but this Thursday “normalcy” was restored.

Thieves searched thoroughly drawers and cupboards of the Presidency Area, General Management and the Accounting Department, which reaffirms the fact that “they knew the provisions of the offices and who works in them”.

They also removed the current Competition office, former office of the former head of administration who retired a few months ago. The FCF emphasizes that the thieves no valuables were taken such as televisions, computers or trophies.

“The criminals took one safe and documentation relating to the Soule Casewhich was being compiled by the Director General after the National Court requested additional information during the month of December on some of the old works.

“Nevertheless, additional information that can be given to the Judge Instructor within the deadline and in the appropriate form, since copies of all the documents are available,” reassured the federation, which has put the incident in the hands of of the Mossos d’Esquadra and hopes to be able to solve this theft “as soon as possible”.

Regarding the ‘Soule case’, from which documentation has been stolen, the judge of the National Court closed the investigation a few months ago, into the alleged irregularities in the management of Ángel María Villar as president of Real Spanish Federation of football (RFEF), understanding that there were no new proceedings left to practice, although he refused to file the case for which one of the arbitrators, Victoriano Sánchez Arminio, was absent.
