Terzo Valico, the 7 billion dollar project for the Genoa-Milan high-speed train. The length of the new line is 53 km, of which 37 km in tunnels and it will travel between 200-250 km / h. Thanks to the Terzo Valico, freight traffic arriving in the Mediterranean from the Far East will be able to choose Genoa as a port, rather than those of the Northern Seas. The Ministry of Transport explains that there will also be improvements for services for travelers: starting from Milan, Genoa will be reachable in about an hour, compared to the current 85 minutes of the fastest trains.
