Seven people suddenly filled the field like a rainbow to a generation that saw Yesudas, Jayachandran and MG Sreekumar as synonymous with male voices and accepted Sooraj Santhosh and Vijay Yesudas as modern male voices. People who used to call their favorite singers here ‘Ettah’ called them ‘Oppa’ (brother). Once a ‘BTS band’, they ‘became our Korean child’. They broke down our former male models in voice and dance and why not in walking, sitting and even dressing. RM, Jim, Jin, Shuga, J Hope, V and Jung all amazed us. But as soon as they arrived, they decided to leave one day. By breaking the hearts of millions of fans.
This is not the first time in the history of the world that bands have split. The breakup of The Beatles in 1969 came as a shock to fans. With the shooting death of Beatles member John Lennon in 1980, hopes that the band would return came to an end. It is not possible to make a list of band breakups that have devastated fans without including One Direction, which split in 2015. Zain Malik broke the hearts of millions when he announced that he was leaving the band for a solo career. One Direction, however, presented the show together this year. Zine recorded their fifth album, but no new songs came together later. After the split, each member of the band began a solo career. Zine’s debut album and single reached number one in the UK and US, and Harry Styles hit his new album, Single and Tour. Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson all released excellent singles.
The French techno duo, who have been singing for 28 years and giving hits like Around the World and Da Funk, announced their separation in February 2021 via a YouTube video called “Epilogue”. Band members Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Home-Cristo arranged their farewell robot theme. The reason behind their split, which won six Grammy Awards, is still unclear.
Fans never thought that our BTS would split so quickly, even though so many bands often split up like this. Seven of them have special fans or the Army. Entertainment economists say that if they can maintain their acceptance together, they will have a huge market ahead of them.
