Former Indian captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly predicted India’s position in the World Cup. Ganguly’s prediction comes at a time when many are disappointed with the Indian team’s performance after losing to South Africa in the third match. While speaking at the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) annual meeting, he said that the Indian team will reach the finals.
“India has lost only one match. Everyone is playing well. I hope India will play the final”, he said. He congratulated his brother Snehashish Ganguly and other officials who were elected as the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal. He said that all those selected are experienced and know how to take things forward and expressed hope that next year’s World Cup can be held without difficulty.
