The English Cut Course will take place this Sunday, May 7, and will repeat the circuit launched in 2022. With 26,412 participants, it will benefit the Pasqual Maragall Foundation, which investigates the prevention of Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases.
This is the second year that one of the largest shopping centers that El Corte Inglés has in Barcelona has been held in a central circuit, in which it is already assumed as a definitive goodbye to the classic route that went up to the Estadi Olímpic de Montjuïc .
The main difference with this emblematic circuit is that while before the starting line was located at the crossroads between Paseo de Gràcia and Gran Via, now the starting gun is at Queen Maria Christina, on Diagonal. So his journey is already quite different from the beginning. A priori, it is somewhat easier because it is a more downhill and flat route, and not with the demanding climbs of before, and it is also 639 meters shorter, reaching just 10 kilometers in distance.
The 26,412 runners, with a fairly equal percentage between men and women, will begin the tour of Diagonal -At 9 o’clock- , passing in front of the La Illa shopping center, until turning onto Paseo de Gracia, shortly before La Pedrera.

They will run through the Plaza del Doctor Letamendi until they meet calle Viladomat, where they will continue until they reach the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, where they will follow the route in a kiss-like direction.
Very close to the finish line, runners must pass in front of the Urgell and Universitat metro stops. They will also cross the Nacional and Plaza Tetuán until they turn onto Calle Marina. Finally, they will turn at Ausiàs Marc and advance through Urquinaona until the end of the tour in Plaza Catalunya.
