Threats against Kohli’s daughter and Anushka; The High Court quashed the case

Mumbai: The case registered in the case of Indian cricketer Virat Kohli’s threat to molest his daughter on social media has been cancelled. The Bombay High Court quashed the case against the IIT graduate from Hyderabad. The court action came after Kohli’s manager Aquilia D’Souza allowed the accused Ramnagesh Akubathini to be acquitted.

After India’s loss to Pakistan in the Twenty20 World Cup in October 2021, the complaint is that a threatening message was posted on social media against Ramnagesh Kohli’s daughter and wife Anushka Sharma. An FIR was registered against the accused in November 2021, accusing him of charges under the IPC and IT Act.

The accused was arrested immediately, but was granted bail after nine days. In February 2022, the accused approached the High Court seeking cancellation of the FIR. The complaint of the accused is that he cannot go abroad for work because of the case. The plaintiffs filed an affidavit in the court on Monday showing that they are allowed to cancel the case.
