Students from the Descartes high school in Rennes, the Hautes-Ourmes college and the Robert-Doisneau school are currently confined to their classes. According to our information, one or more armed people were seen around the three establishments this Monday noon. It is currently unknown under what circumstances, but witnesses reported the presence of “one or more individuals carrying weapons or knives”. The three establishments are being secured by the police. External students are directed towards external structures.
The Hautes-Ourmes college is the establishment where a teacher was threatened with a knife by a 12-year-old schoolgirl on Wednesday December 13. The teacher escaped unhurt, the teenager having been restrained by members of staff.
The Descartes high school, located in the Poterie district, had also been confined twice last week after one or more men armed with a knife had been seen near the establishment. The police came and placed the school under surveillance.
