Inter striker Marcus Thuram spoke about the possible victory of the Milanese club in the Champions League, Day.Az reports with reference to the Championship.
“This team was not born last year. It has existed for three years. Last season we lost the Champions League final, which we could have won. We are taking trophies and intend to continue to do so. Of course, now it is easier to look at it because everything is going well , but this is a journey that lasted several years,” Thuram was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
Last season, Inter lost to Manchester City in the Champions League final with a score of 0:1. The only goal was scored by midfielder Rodri.
In the current Champions League, the Milan club plays Atletico Madrid in the 1/8 finals. The first match ended in victory for Inter (1:0).
Thuram joined Inter from Borussia Monchengladbach in July 2023 as a free agent. The player’s contract with the club runs until the summer of 2028. Transfermarkt values the striker at €55 million.
This season, the 26-year-old Frenchman has played 35 matches, scored 12 goals and provided 11 assists.
