Tightening restrictions … Curfew for vaccine deniers: Millions in trouble

by time news

The government has announced that millions of people in Austria who have not been fully vaccinated will be brought under new control.

Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg announced the information today. Austria’s current infection rate is at an all-time high.

The number of people admitted to the emergency department is also increasing day by day. It was announced last September that if the number of corona patients admitted to emergency wards in the country reaches 30 per cent, all non-vaccinated people will be placed under solitary confinement.

In the current context, experts warn that the number of people admitted to the emergency department has reached 20 percent, but that number is rising very rapidly.

Only about 65 percent of Austria’s population is fully vaccinated against coronavirus. This is the lowest rate in any Western European country.

If the situation continues, those who have not been vaccinated in a few days will be subject to restrictions, including curfews, officials said.

The government has also advised people not to be vaccinated in restaurants, theaters and shopping malls.

Under the new rule, those who are not vaccinated will have to leave the apartment only to go to work and buy essential food items.

As a result, millions of Austrians are reported to be at risk.
