TikTok short video service has introduced a new option to publish videos up to three minutes in length. Previously, it was possible to post videos no longer than one minute.
At the moment, the opportunity is available only to some users, but within a few weeks it will appear for all authors of the service. TikTok has introduced a new feature to give creators more freedom to shoot and post, and to reduce the need to split videos into multiple chunks. The company has been testing this feature since December 2020.
Earlier, TikTok announced that it has deleted over 7.3 million accounts that were allegedly owned by children under the age of 13. The service, which is popular with teens, does not allow children under 13 to create accounts.
