The juice is loose! Warner Bros. has finally released the first teaser for “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”the sequel to Tim Burton’s 1988 cult classic, and it reveals that we’re in for a DELICIOUS nostalgia trip (*fingers crossed*).

The cast is cool. In one of the main roles we find “Wednesday” star Jenna Ortega, and with her on the team she has, among others, Willem Dafoe, Monica Belluci and Justin Theroux, in addition to the original “Beetlejuice” actors Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O ‘Hara. Burton has also brought in more forces from the Netflix success “Wednesday”, namely screenwriters Alfred Geough and Miles Millar.

BLACK IS BACK: Catherine O’Hara as Delia, Jenna Ortega as Astrid, Winona Ryder as Lydia and Justin Theroux as Rory.

In the fantasy comedy “Beetlejuice”, we follow Charles (Jeffrey Jones), Delia (Catherine O’Hara) and Lydia Deetz (Ryder) as they move into a haunted house. It is the ghosts of the Maitland couple Adam and Barbara (played by Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis), who recently died in a car accident, who refuse to leave their home. In an attempt to scare the Deetz family out, the ghostly duo seek help from the pure evil spirit Beetlejuice…

With strong acting performances, an excellent script, catchy soundtrack and, not least, iconic costumes, “Beetlejuice” has entered the history books as a morbid feast of a film. And the continuation will be no less, we are to believe Keaton, who is back in the title role.

– Beetlejuice is the most damn fun thing to work withsaid the star in an interview with Empire Magazine in November, and further revealed that most of the effects work is done the old-fashioned way.

– It’s so much fun, and it’s so brilliant. And do you know why? We’re doing it exactly the same way we did the first movie.

– Making things up, making things happen, improvising and unfolding, but literally with handmade things, like when people create things with their hands and build something. Fantastic. It’s the most fun I’ve had working on a film in, I can’t even tell you how long,” he added.
