Tomorrowland Expands Global Footprint with First-Ever Thailand Festival
Thailand is set to become the newest home for the world-renowned electronic dance music festival, Tomorrowland, with the inaugural Tomorrowland Thailand scheduled for December 11-13, 2026, at Wisdom Valley in Chonburi.
The highly anticipated event marks a significant expansion for the festival, already established in Belgium, Brazil, and France. Organizers anticipate welcoming 50,000 festivalgoers to the 237-acre site, which will feature multiple stages and a full Tomorrowland experience. Pre-registration for tickets opens at 4pm GMT on January 8, with tickets going on sale at the end of February.
“Hosting Tomorrowland in Thailand marks an important milestone in our ambition to position the country as a leader in global tourism and creative experiences,” a representative from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) stated in a press release. “We look forward to welcoming people from all over the world to discover the beauty, culture, and hospitality of Thailand.”
Tomorrowland’s WeAreOne.World CEO Bruno Vanwelsenaers echoed this sentiment, explaining, “Thailand feels like the right place, not only because of its beauty and energy, but also because of the shared ambition to create something meaningful and world-class together.” He added that the Belgium-based Tomorrowland team will collaborate with a local team of 40 professionals in Thailand to bring the festival to life.
The announcement comes as Tomorrowland prepares for its flagship Belgium festival, scheduled for two weekends – July 17-19 and 24-26, 2026.
The festival’s resilience was notably demonstrated last year when a fire broke out less than 48 hours before the Boom, Belgium event, which drew over 70,000 attendees. Despite the destruction of the original main stage, organizers swiftly constructed an alternative stage, ensuring the festival proceeded as planned. Performers like David Guetta, Lost Frequencies, Swedish House Mafia, and Charlotte De Witte still took the stage, captivating the crowds.
This rapid response underscored Tomorrowland’s commitment to delivering an unforgettable experience, even in the face of unforeseen challenges. The festival’s continued global expansion solidifies its position as a leading force in the international electronic music scene.
