Another tragedy between the times: from the hospital comes the difficult news of the untimely death of the late Meir Shimon Darshan, about a week and a half after he drowned on a separate beach in Netanya, when he was only 19 years old.

The late Meir Shimon lived in Bnei Brak, and was one of the most important lads at the Yeshiva of Knesset Yitzhak “Hadera” in the city of Modi’in Illit, where it is said with pain and sadness that he was one of the elite lads in the yeshiva, one of the greatest scholars who used every free moment to study Torah.

One of his close friends says that the late Meir Shimon was careful throughout the last year not to make small talk at all. “He would study until 01:00 at night, and as early as 06:00 in the morning he would get up, dip in the mikvah and pray the morning prayer with great intention.” .

He also says that the late Meir Shimon was supposed to start the time of Elul and go up to the third lesson, but about a week and a half ago, the worst of all happened, and he drowned after being swept away as a result of a strong wave that washed the beach, and after being rescued from the water by his father, he was hospitalized in the hospital.

Since then, many prayed for his healing, while even adding the name Raphael, but at the last hour the decree was passed and he returned his soul to its creator for the protection of the hearts of his friends and family.

We will update you on the date of his funeral here in the Shabbat Square.

May his soul be bundled in the bundle of life.
