Suspicious Hunting Stand Discovered Near Air Force one Landing Site in Florida
The U.S. Secret Service discovered a potentially concerning security risk near Palm Beach International Airport: a hunting stand positioned with a direct line of sight to where President Donald Trump exits Air Force One. The finding prompted an immediate investigation now led by the FBI, officials confirmed Sunday.
The Secret Service identified the suspicious structure during routine advance security preparations ahead of the President’s arrival in palm Beach, Florida. According to Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesperson for the Secret Service, the agency utilized both technology and physical sweeps to identify “items of interest” in the vicinity of the airport.
“The U.S. Secret Service is working closely with the FBI and our law enforcement partners in Palm Beach County,” Guglielmi stated. He emphasized that “there was no impact to any movements and no individuals were present or involved at the location” when the stand was discovered.
A senior official familiar with the investigation revealed the hunting stand is located across from an area of the airport frequently used for private aircraft parking, including the President’s personal plane. while Air Force One does not typically park in this location, recent construction has necessitated its use, and the area has been utilized in the past.
President Trump arrived in Florida on Friday and is currently spending the weekend in West Palm Beach, frequently enough frequenting his Mar-a-Lago resort for golf. This incident underscores the ongoing security challenges surrounding presidential travel, notably given the multiple threats the President has faced in recent years.

Prior to his inauguration, a 46-year-old man was arrested in West Palm Beach for allegedly making threats against the President on social media. In a separate case earlier this year, authorities in Wisconsin arrested an individual for forging threats against the President in an attempt to implicate another person.
These incidents highlight the persistent and evolving nature of threats against high-profile figures, requiring constant vigilance and robust security measures from the Secret Service and other law enforcement agencies. The FBI’s ongoing investigation into the hunting stand aims to determine the intent behind its placement and ensure the continued safety of the President during his visit to Florida.
