The Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) reported that Cuscatlán, Chalatenango and La Union joined the departments that have completed the scrutiny of the minutes to elect the deputies of the Legislative Assembly.

“We present to you the list of departments in which the final scrutiny for the Legislative Assembly elections has been completed, up to this moment,†said the TSE when presenting the list of departments.

For its part, Nuevas Ideas stated that of the three departments that were scrutinized, they won seats: 2 out of 2 in Cuscatlán; 2 out of 2 in La Union and 1 out of 2 in Chalatenango, the available seat was awarded to PCN.

On February 7, the TSE installed the final counting tables for the elections of president, vice president and deputies of the Legislative Assembly. The opposition parties maintain that the process has not been transparent because it has not counted votes with the annulled votes.
